Late Spring 2026 4-Week Classes
Create a raised garden box and a midcentury modern planter stand using durable lumber and straightforward joinery. Students will learn how to work accurately with dimensional lumber, create stable structures, and prepare wood for outdoor use. This class is suited for students who have completed Woodworking I or who are comfortable using a miter saw, drill, and sander.

What You Will Make

What You Will Learn

  • Measuring, cutting & joining techniques

  • Assembly sequencing and clamping strategies

  • Sanding and surface preparation

  • Selecting wood appropriate for outdoor use

What’s Included in Your Class Tuition:

  • Consumable materials such as wood glue and sandpaper

  • Basic finishing supplies

  • Access to the woodshop during open studio hours

  • Safety gear, including eye and ear protection

Students will leave class with multiple finished projects, experience with hand and power tools, and have developed the foundational skills needed to work independently in a wood shop. Students will be assessed one wood fee amounting to $50 during classes.
