Woodworking I

Learn the basics of woodworking in this hands-on, project-based class. Students will create a series of functional and decorative pieces while learning measuring and layout, basic joinery, shaping, sanding, finishing techniques, and proper tool safety.

What’s Included in Your Class Tuition:

• Wood for your first project

• Consumable materials such as wood glue and sandpaper

• Basic finishing supplies

• Access to the woodshop during open studio hours

• Safety gear, including eye and ear protection

Students will leave class with multiple finished projects, experience with hand and power tools, and have developed the foundational skills needed to work independently in a wood shop. Students will be assessed two wood fees amounting to $75 during classes.
