What you will learn
- Students will learn surface design techniques using bright underglazes, pigments, colorful slips & rich glazes to decorate their wheelthrown or handbuilt pieces.

Painting techniques explored include:
- Using underglaze on bisque and greenware
- Layering, monotrace, underglaze decals & transfer, sgraffito, stencils, & inlay
- Overglaze painting with pigments and washes
- Painting on glaze
- This is an all levels class! We recommend students to have taken at least one recent wheelthrowing class if working on the wheel!

- Create test tiles & small cups and forms for underglaze testing.

- 5 lbs of clay
